We are inviting you to a unique event which brings together the commissioning information strategy work that has been developed by a number of CCGs and the imminent national information strategy. This co-production aims to blend together clinical knowledge and information to create a successful national capability.
The National Information Strategy is likely to be published this month and teams from the DHID and the NHS CBA are running four national workshops over the next few months. At this first event in the North of England this will build on the work already undertaken by volunteer CCGs.
The morning will explore the clinical commissioning strategy requirements as defined by a number of front running CCGs who have worked in partnership with their local health communities. The afternoon will be focussed on engaging local clinicians and clinical informatics leads with the National Information Strategic Leadership Team.
Besides the Information Strategic Leadership Team, we will also be joined by Ailsa Clare and her team from the NHS Commissioning Board to share their work on Intelligence requirements for Commissioners as developed by the NHS CBA.
A full and varied agenda is planned including:
- The Information Strategy
- Update on Intelligence in Commissioning for CCGs
- Clinical Leadership across Informatics Transition
- Regional/local success models in Primary care IM&T leadership
- CCG led IM&T strategy models
- Road show of informatics offerings include empowering patients, using clinical portals, information sharing and data transmission and informatics standards across commissioning (all road show topics to be confirmed)
This workshop will provide a valuable opportunity to meet and network with other Senior CCG Clinicians & Chairs from across the North of England working on informatics requirements for their CCGs.
We aim to make the day a challenging and participative one to allow attendees the opportunity to identify and share opportunities and challenges which they think could affect or improve the delivery of wider regional and national CCG/Provision Informatics work.
